Supporting SMEs’ overseas business expansion

Hello everyone,

This is Takayuki Kondo.

We are supporting SMEs’ overseas business expansion from May 16 with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The purpose of this project is sharing knowledge and technical skills about recycling cars to Brazilians because we want to establish a training factory of recycling cars in Brazil.

For joining this project, 7 University Professors and Engineers from Brazil came to Japan.

We got a chance to start in Brazil with the project “JICA’s PROVINCIAL TRAINING PROGRAM – CONSTRUCTION OF THE AUTO MOBILE RECYCLE SYSTEM FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF RESOURCES” in 2009. We took part in the project and a training course was held in Japan in 2010. In this training, government officials and car engineers joined us from South America; Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and Mexico: we could learnt and exchanging points of views with them.

Later, we launched the project “JICA’s PUBLIC – PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP BUSINESS”. In this project, we proposed a plan to establish a recycling car system in Brazil. And then, we proceeded to build a plan with the CEFET-MG (The Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais) from 2014; we made a formal contract at this year. Regarding the CEFET-MG, the establishment of a pilot recycling plant and a training facility have been proceeding. Kaiho has formed some instructors by introducing machines and tools, facilities and automobile dismantling methods and training and developing abilities.

Moreover, CEFET-MG will do not only train entrepreneurs but also will support them after they will start a new business.

During the training of this project, there were many positive opinions: for example, “The number of cars in Brazil will increase fourfold after ten years.”, “Some system like car inspection in Japan is needed because there are many car´s accidents in Brazil.”, “It is a problem not only in Brazil but also in other areas in South America.”, “What can we do to solve that?” and so on.

From now on, we will continue building a global network of car recyclers and will contribute to the global environment thorough the VENOUS INDUSTRY.
